Good things comes to those who wait

Patience...... This white gorgeousness was on my wish list since I started collecting vintage glass, about 5 years ago. Never had the chance to find one in good condition that would not cost me an arm and a leg and part of a kidney! (LOL).  One day I was not feeling well, emotionally, and decided to take a walk. I went to my local Goodwill to drop off some stuff for donations and when I went inside to check what they had that d ay... there she was on a bin, waiting to be put on the shelves!  I couldn't believe my eyes as I took it in my hands to inspect it. I thought it may had a blemish or something wrong because of the price sticker it had. But no, it was in PERFECT conditions, like new.  It had a price sticker of $5.99, in the color of the week. So I paid only $3 for it!!!!!! As I write this post, I feel the Lord speaking to my soul. Sometimes we wish for things and we get desperate because that thing we want can't come fast enough. Beautiful things are meant to be used

Beautiful things are  meant to be used.... I had a bad accident back in March. Well, I had the results of an MRI I had done couple days ago and they are not good. I have a bad case of scoliosis, called rotoscoliosis, in which the column not only lean to one side but is also twisted. Is super painful and I will end up on a wheelchair, eventually.  Today, while cleaning my kitchen and cooking dinner, I looked at the shelves where these pretties were resting, waiting for the special occasion to be used, and I said to myself: "What if I never get the chance to use them because my condition progress? What if I wait and wait for a moment that will never come?  Well, I AM who can make ANY moment special. So these gorgeous are been used today!".  If you have a special plate, pitcher or cup... or anything special, waiting for the "right", the "special moment" to used them, STOP waiting and used them NOW. NOW is the moment, NOW is the right time. GO...

Sometimes, we are like a broken glass... I had a bad accident back in March. I was walking downstairs, to get to my apartment, when I slipped on ice. I hit my head, 2" from my neck. I ended up with a brain concussion, back, neck and knee sprain.  I was coming home from a very successful thrift shopping day. I had this gorgeous covered dish on a bag. Like you can see, it broke into pieces. This is a very old piece that survived decades but was destroyed in the blink of an eye.  The way I see it, this gorgeous is like us humans. We live our lives without any worry and in the blink of an eye we can loose it. But us, like this pretty, even with scars, bruises and injuries, we are still here for a reason.  The Lord keep us alive, although with scars, and we have to appreciate that.  I did put this pretty together. There's "scars" on it but its beauty is there too. There is some missing chips but I don't care!  I'm glad I have it to be a reminde...
